ABOUT THE AWARDS

The Woman Of Worth WOW Awards were originally created in 2008 to foster the empowered connection, collaboration and celebration of women. Nominating a woman is a meaningful and powerful ways to appreciate and acknowledge another, in a way she will remember and be impacted by forever. They were renamed the Tammy Moyer Woman Of Worth Awards to honour the memory of an extraordinary woman. Tammy was the morning anchor on News 1130 and was a passionate supporter of women’s causes, especially WOW. Her loss to pancreatic cancer was a tragic blow to all who knew her, especially her (then) 7-year-old son as she was a single mom. The Awards allow Tammy’s name to live on in a way that is meaningful to her, and everyone who loved her. She remains the spirit of WOW.
